Iran Uranium Enrichment
Iran was expanding its Uranium Enrichment Programme, so the UN members are discussing on this topic. And Iran also denies that they are making nuclear weapons but they are doing this for peace, energy-making purposes. It seems that they could not come to an agreement because they Iran could not accept a rule, the UN wants to suspend the Uranium Enrichment. But instead of stopping, they expanded even bigger.
I think this was an important topic because Uranium was a highly radioactive element and could do a lot of damage if in the wrong hands. Iran does not have a very good background, so the UN does not trust them. If they were even planning to make nuclear weapons, the whole world would be in great turmoil. This is my reason for the importance of this current event.

Your article was very interesting to read. I feel though that this is an important issue because what Iran does with their uranium (nuclear fuel) could be deadly and should be monitored 24/ 7. On the other hand what Iran does with its own Uranium is up to them. Just like the U.S. they are making nuclear weapons and no one else is telling them to do with it. I also feel that it is hard to decide whether to trust the country with the power if they only c\say that they are using it for energy enrichment program. I still don’t understand what the U.N. is doing about it. Are they stopping the program straight away or are they thinking of whether to trust the Iranians or not?

Ok well, I want to know your opinion(s) on the fact that Iran said they were going to use the uranium for energy-making purposes. What do you think the UN is going to do if they disobey them.
This was a great story and really affected the world. It had very good timeliness and had the oddity and relation to people around here for us to be interested in this topic. You chose a good article that helped the class and me learn more about the world and be more up to date with the current news in our world.
